How to Apply

All applicants applying for a certified, classified, administrative, guest teacher, or student teaching position with Laveen Elementary School District must apply online in order to be considered for employment.

Job openings may be viewed here. When applying, applicants must upload the following documents:

Administrative and Certified

  1. Resume
  2. Copies of transcripts
  3. Three letters of professional recommendation including letters from teaching supervisors. If you do not have teaching experience, letters of reference are acceptable.
  4. Copy of your Arizona Teaching/Administration Certificate
  5. Copy of your Out-of-State Teaching/Administration Certificate
  6. Copy of your Arizona Education Proficiency Assessment Or National Evaluation Series test results
  7. Copy of your Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  8. Copy of documentation showing successful completion of 15 hours in Structured English Immersion (SEI) or an ESL, SEI, or bilingual full endorsement

Classified Applicants

  1. Resume
  2. Copies of transcripts (If applicable)
  3. Copy of any certification(s) / license(s) applicable to the position
  4. Three letters of professional recommendation
  5. If you are selected for employment, as a condition of employment, you are required to be fingerprinted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statute §15-512 and will be required to pay a $22.00 fee for such fingerprinting expenses.

Guest Teacher Applicants

  1. Resume
  2. Copies of transcripts
  3. Three letters of professional recommendation including letters from teaching supervisors. If you do not have teaching experience, letters of reference are acceptable.
  4. Copy of your Arizona Substitute Certificate
  5. Copy of your Arizona fingerprint clearance card

Recommendation for Hire

Applicants who are recommended for a position within the district may be required to provide the following documentation during their scheduled appointment with the the Human Resources department.  These are required prior to starting position:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

  • Proof of Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR) Immunization/Immunity

  • Certification (if applicable)

  • Fingerprint Clearance Card (if applicable)

  • Education Experience:  Proof of High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent, College Transcript(s)

  • Other documents, e.g. TB test, etc. as required by the position
