Summer Feeding Sites Celebrate Farm-to-School Week

Our summer feeding sites are celebrating Farm to School Week to show that fresh and healthy food is important to children across the state. Our cafeterias are are serving up foods made with locally grown ingredients such as house-made pico de gallo, strawberries, and blueberries. Families who join us this week will receive a pot, soil, and green bean seeds (while supplies last).

Children will earn an extra Summer Meal Buck for taking care of their plant and bringing it back to show staff.

For more information on our free summer meals for children, visit our summer feeding page.
