Frequently Asked Questions

How can I pay for my child’s lunch?

Great news, this school year we are continuing to offer free breakfast to all students!
Lunch is $2.10 per day. While students can pay for their lunch in line, we recommend parents depositing money in their child’s lunch account to pay weekly or bi-weekly. Lunch account money should be taken to the cafeteria before school starts (during breakfast) to insure your child’s account is properly credited before lunch. Money orders or checks should be made out to the school cafeteria lunch fund and include the student’s name. Please be aware that there is a service charge for non-sufficient funds returned checks. We also recommend you take advantage of our online meal prepayment system at EZSchoolPay.com. Registration instructions can be found here.

How can I apply for Free or Reduced Meals for my child?

Please remember a new application must be submitted every school year. You can get a Free and Reduced Lunch Application from your school’s office, cafeteria, or print one from our website or for faster processing submit one online at EZMealApp.com. Please submit paper applications directly to the cafeteria manager to be processed. A user guide for EZMealApp.com can be found here.

How can I check the balance of my child’s lunch account?

Call the Cafeteria Manager at your child’s school and request a print out of your child’s meal history and account balance. This information will be put in a sealed envelope and sent home with your child. Additionally, when your child’s account balance drops to the equivalent of two lunches, the cafeteria manager will provide a lunch account reminder. For younger children this will be a hand stamp or written note, for older children, the reminder will be verbal.

We allow students who forget to bring lunch money two charges; thereafter students will be provided a cheese sandwich, fruit, and white milk. Students will never be denied nutrition due to lack of lunch money.

My child requires a special diet, how can you help?

We have a number of resources to meet special dietary needs. To properly meet the individual needs of your child, we will need a doctor’s written instructions with specific details, which we will use to build your child’s breakfast and lunch choices. If the special diet request is related to religious or other non-medical preferences, please contact your cafeteria manager to discuss how we can tailor our daily choices for your child.

My child comes home from school hungry; I don’t think he is getting enough to eat at lunch. What can be done?

Our lunch program meets nationally recognized nutritional requirements for the various age groups of our students; however, we recognize that, during growing spurts ‘daily average caloric intake’ may not be sufficient. To meet the needs of your growing child, our daily fruit and vegetable choices are ‘all you can eat’. Encourage your child to take a second helping of fruit or vegetables for the extra energy boost needed to get through the day.

How can I get a menu?

Menus are printed and distributed monthly at each school site. You can also view this month’s menu under the Quick Links tab.

Can I eat with my child?
